I grew up on a vineyard and I'm very familiar with ‘vineyard life’. My family had a vineyard in Boonville, CA, about an hour North and West of Santa Rosa. I didn't much like being up there on the weekends when I was 16 futzing with the theodolite. But it instilled in me a connection and appreciation for working with land, soil, clean air and the stillness of nobody around you for miles.
